Orbit Bubblemint

It had been quite a while since I've had an Orbit chewing gum. However, a friend of mine sent over a packet of Bubblemint flavour from the USA, so I became reacquainted with the brand.

I didn't even know if Orbit is still available in regular UK shops until a Google search informed me that the brand was discontinued and replaced by Wrigley's Extra on these shores.

As I mentioned in December, I love the bubble gum flavour Wrigley's Extra and - when it was removed from British shelves - it felt like Wrigley's Extra Bubblemint took its place.

This Orbit gum from the US is very similar to the bubblemint Wrigley's Extra and - because of that - I feel loyal to the bubble gum flavour Extra and will say this - it isn't as good as bubble gum flavoured Wrigley's Extra!

With that said, and this is a strong positive, I found that Orbit Bubblemint does retain its flavour longer than any of the other gums I've been sent from the USA. 

I must have chewed the first stick for over an hour and it still had a taste to it all that time later.

You cannot say that about many gums, can you?
