I've Finally Tried 'Fanta Lilt'

Exactly three months ago, I wrote a post noting that the Coca-Cola Company was rebranding its Lilt drink under the Fanta brand and I closed the post stating I would 'report back with my first impressions' when I found a bottle in a shop.

Well, I finally found myself a bottle a few weeks back and had it over Coronation Weeekend.

My first impressions are go like this: it looks like Lilt, it tastes like Lilt.. it's Fanta Lilt.

As you can see, in the first image below, the label refers to Fanta Pineapple and Grapefruit being Lilt's 'new look' which it obviously is because my taste buds didn't notice any difference.

Fanta: Pineapple and Grapefruit

That's not all.

There are still original Lilt bottles out in the wild. I bought one of those as well.

In the post published on February 15th 2023, I pointed out that I had - weeks or months earlier - noticed the font of Lilt had been changed to resemble that of Fanta. I studied what could end up being the final Lilt label and noticed something that either didn't register with me or wasn't on the bottle penultimate Lilt I'll ever have.

You'll see there is a 'by Fanta' underneath the Lilt logo.

I am fascinated by this segue from Lilt to Fanta Pineapple and Grapefruit. I hope it's a successful one because I am concerned that - if it fails - Coca-Cola will cancel the Fanta Pineapple and Grapefruit brand rather than revert back to Lilt.

They taste the same (obviously). I'd rather have Fanta Lilt than no Lilt.
