The next game in the Legend of Zelda series is released tomorrow.
I have already pre-ordered Tears of the Kingdom and will get some launch day goodies inside the parcel when it arrives.
The best Zelda game I've ever played was The Ocarina of Time, which came out on the Nintendo 64 in 1998. Even after all these years, I find myself humming some of the tunes from the game at the most random time.
My cousin from the USA had the first two Zelda games on her Nintendo Entertainment System. I didn't have one of those consoles as a child although I now technically own those games myself now that I have a NES Mini.
The first Zelda game I owned was A Link to the Past. I purchased that for my Super NES in late-1992. Nostalgia makes it very high on my list of favourite Nintendo games ever.
Tears of the Kingdom is a sequel to Breath of the Wild. I purchased the latter at the time I first bought a Nintendo Switch and - to be quite frank - I thought it looked amazing. I still do. However, I found myself getting too busy to really delve into it as much as I did with previous titles.
Even though it's a sequel, I have been assured that I can play Tears of the Kingdom without too much prior knowledge of its predecessor. Phew!
