I am currently sitting - or rather laying - at my laptop with New Japan Pro Wrestling's live event - Sakura Genesis 2023 - playing on the iPad beside me.
A few hours ago, the company advertised this summer's G1 Climax.
The tournament is set to commence on July 15th. The finals take place on August 13th, which is a Sunday.
The last couple of finals have taken place during midweeks, so I am glad to see the final couple of tournament matches taking place on weekends.
With that said, I wouldn't be surprised if they are early starts!
Just like with every G1, I look forward to the video announcing this month's participants. I expect that is another two months away from playing out though.
