Picking The Finalists: World Cup 2018 Edition

I spent an hour or so of yesterday evening looking at the World Cup groups and worked out my own tournament bracketing to predict which teams I feel will end up making it to the finals.

This is something I've been doing for many years and correctly predicted the final in 2006. 

Yes, I am now twelve years removed from the great prediction of the Italy versus France final, but this hasn't stopped me reminding any friends and family members every time a football tournament is on the horizon.

The teams I have in this year's final aren't as surprising as the 2006 prediction. They are Argentina and Brazil.

I would go so far as to have Argentina pegged as my outright winners. 

I'll share some bets I've placed in the days leading up to the opening game and +I might even have a post or two during the tourney.

It's going to be a fun summer. 

The World Cup starts in a couple of weeks and ends on the same weekend that New Japan Pro Wrestling's G1 Climax begins.

That's two months covered right there!
