I have been playing Super Mario Galaxy a lot more than I thought I would have done.
Yesterday, I managed to get to an end of level boss and the graphics on it were awesome. I was so impressed with the animation that I felt a little sorry when I beat him (or it) after two goes. I wanted to fight the character a little more.
Well, remember that saying about being careful what you wish for?
After completing that level I was instructed to return to fight the Bouldergeist once again. This time on one bar of energy.
It took me nearly an hour to beat it with the low energy bar, I am glad I don't have to see the thing again!
Another Mario story I have concerns my Nephew.
A number of weeks ago, I was stuck on a level for a while and kept falling off the edge of a water shoot thing while riding a stingray. I was getting frustrated because I was getting close to the finish line but always ended up going too fast and falling off and dying.
I woke up this morning and put the Wii for him and noticed he was about to reach that level. I sat and watched thinking 'this is going to take him ages.'
He did it in two goes.
Kids!
