I spent most of yesterday watching all six episodes of Netflix's Mr. McMahon documentary series.
I came away with it with a lot of mixed feelings. However, with that said, I came in with those very same thoughts.
Mr. McMahon isn't really a documentary series for fans like me. We've like heard and read everything that was brought up.
It's really for those fair-weather or, dare I say it: non-fans, who might want to learn about McMahon and the WWF (Now WWE).
I couldn't recommend the series to hardcore fans. I'd also struggle to pushing it to the fair-weathers.
The best contributor to the project was Dave Meltzer - a man who covered McMahon on a weekly basis through the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He brought a lot to this series and - at key points- managed to be beacon of truth against hyperbole.
I cannot call it a miss, but it - for sure - was no slam dunk.
