The Cow Video

It was very disturbing to see video footage of a police vehicle striking a cow that had found its way onto a street.

The clip was shared on social media yesterday. It was seemingly taken from somebody looking outside of a top floor window and caught the police hitting the cow not once, but twice.

Surrey Police released a statement yesterday. In it, the force claims they were given reports that the cow had ran at members of the public and had damaged a car.

Of course they were going to say that.

The Home Secretary - James Cleverly - has waded in on this by indicating he felt it was heavy-handed.

It absolutely was. 

Of the many ways this could have been resolved, the police chose the worst.
