Yes, it's 'National Pepperoni Pizza Day'.
Pepperoni isn't my overall favourite pizza topping. However, it is in the upper section if I were to rank which kind of pizzas I prefer.
The most recent time I had a pepperoni pizza was this summer when I came across a limited edition pizza base from Pizza Hut.
I have some images of the box and, most importantly, the pizza left on my phone from a few weeks ago.
The pizza appears to have been released in conjunction with a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. It's safe to conclude that because the box came with the Turtles on it. Ten-year-old me would have loved that.
The sixteen-inch pizza was cut into six slices. The intention behind the low number of slices was to have each slice look huge and represent the big pizza slices that are associated with New York.
