We now have a over six weeks until the autumn term begins. The next few weeks mean I have to finally pay off a debt.
If you recall, in March, I wrote about having a bet - with my youngest nephew - on the gender of my eldest nephew's child.
The baby turned out to be a boy. I had bet girl.
The loss means I have to watch the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy with my nephew. Don't get me wrong - I don't dislike fantasy books or films. It's just that I have never felt compelled to watch any of the LOTR films even though I did buy the Blu-rays for my movie collection years ago when I saw them in a sale.
Had the baby been born a girl, my nephew would have had to sit through BOTH nights of this year's WrestleMania.
When we made the bet, almost one year ago, I said it would have to be done during the summer holidays of 2023.
It's now pay up time.
