It's the Monday after WrestleMania.
It's not a regular Monday after WrestleMania.
What I usually do, after watching Mania, is head to the Blogger website and write my immediate thoughts.
I was going to do that last night. After all, there were some strong opinions whirling around this brain of mine - should Cody have won? How crazy was that Shane McMahon injury on what was his last night as an official heir-apparent to WWE's throne?
The latter is partly why I chose until now to write today's post. I wanted to wait until the news became official.
It now has.
Endeavor has purchased World Wrestling Entertainment. This marries WWE with the biggest mixed martial arts company - the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The reports began yesterday. Everyone expected it to become official today. And here we are.
I have no idea what happens now. What I do know is one of the rare constants in the ever-changing world of professional wrestling has changed.
Vince McMahon bought the WWF from his father for $1 Million. He sold it for $9.3 Billion and will be a high-ranking executive of the merged companies. He more than won.
This news of new ownership is exciting, but I don't know if it's positive or negative excitement.
Time will prove everything.
