God, I love that slogan when it comes to two undefeated fighters about to go at it. I even enjoy seeing it when two lossless teams are set to go head-to-head in an NFL game.
Tonight, well, tonight I get to see it happen in week three of the XFL season.
In the first game of tonight's triple header, the St. Louis Battlehawks travel to Washington, DC to take on the Defenders in a battle of 2-0 teams.
When considering only win-loss records, it's the best game on paper tonight. The other two games have 0-2 .vs. 1-1 and 1-1 .vs. 2-0 meetings.
I cannot lie, I am looking forward to catching at least the first two games this evening. I aim to watch the third tomorrow morning.
As I expected a couple of weeks ago, the XFL has filled a void left by the NFL's season closing.
I haven't been able to watch the first of this weekend's XFL fixtures. It saw the Seattle Sea Dragons beat the Vegas Vipers by a score of 30-26.
The Sea Dragons' win saw their record move to 1-2 and the Vipers fall to 0-3 meaning last night was another 'someone's 0 has gotta go' fixture albeit with both teams looking for their first win of the season.
