On February 7th of last year, I wrote a post titled 'So, I Watched The Pro Bowl Last Night..' in which I was critical of the annual gathering of the best NFL players from the 2021 Season.
The game was a waste of time. Not just for the players, but for every single person involved with it. That included the viewers.
Tomorrow night sees the best players from the AFC and NFC conferences return for another Pro Bowl. This time, however, the event has been renamed The Pro Bowl Games and will consist of skill contests as well as 7-on-7 flag football games.
In a way, it does seem just as much of a waste of time as the regular Pro Bowl. However, I think it isn't as misleading in its advertising as previous Pro Bowls.
Player safety is a priority, so this new approach seems fitting.
The teams will also be coached by Eli and Peyton Manning. That's enough of a draw for me.
