Kazuchika Okada won the G1 Climax final yesterday in a great match against Will Ospreay.
He'll now challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestle Kingdom on January 4th. The title is currently in the possession of Jay White.
I doubt there will be any roadblocks for either wrestler along the way. White versus Okada, I am sure, will be the main event at the Tokyo Dome come early 2023.
At the start of this year, I had predicted SANADA for the G1. Then, after the first few nights of tournament action, I started to entertain the idea of Tetsuya Naito winning another G1.
Alas, it was Okada claiming the trophy for the fourth time in his career having won last year's tournament as well as those in 2012 and 2014.
