I love TNA Wrestling. The company does some random things at times.
The latest head scratcher is the announcement that was made by the company yesterday. Famous referee, Earl Hebner will be inducted into the company's Hall of Fame at a house show in Salem, Virginia.
I'm not puzzled that Hebner is being honoured - he deserves it. It even makes sense that this is going to take place on a house show as Hebner grew up in the area.
What baffles me is the person who's inducting him,
Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan will do the honours.
Corgan is a big name in music. Wrestling? Not so much.
I know he's a producer for TNA (for what it's worth and, trust me, it doesn't mean much) but surely they could have brought somebody in who has actually worked with Hebner in his long career.
Just stating.
