Perro Aguayo Jr. - one of Mexico's top professional wrestling stars - passed away following a freak in-ring accident on Friday night.
The wrestler was in the midst of a tag team match alongside Manik against Extreme Tiger & Rey Mysterio Jr. when the tragedy struck.
The incident can be viewed on a video clip that was recorded at the event, but I don't really want to put myself through seeing that. I'm curious, but that's as far as I'll go. I don't want to see it.
Apparently, the accident took place when he was setting himself up to take the 619. A report from the hospital speculates that the cause of death was from cervical spine trauma, which must have been to do with how he hit the ropes somewhere along the line.
Without seeing the video, there's nothing more I can say other than this is dreadful.
