2014 : The Year In Preview

For the past few years, I've dedicated the New Year's Day blog post to predicting what will happen in the upcoming year. Then, in the final post of that year, I look back and see where I was right and where I went wrong.

Here are my guesses for what will happen in 2014...

- The Super Bowl will be contested in a blizzard

- Hulk Hogan will return to World Wrestling Entertainment in some capacity

- Luis Suarez will win the Golden Boot at the World Cup

- Brazil will win the World Cup

- Manchester United will win the FA Cup, Liverpool will win the Premier League

- The Carter family will either sell TNA Wrestling or close up the promotion

- Arsene Wenger will leave Arsenal

- Shawn Michaels will come out of retirement and wrestle Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX

- The Ultimate Warrior will be the main inductee at this year's Hall of Fame ceremony

- Despite rumours at the time of publishing, Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole will not return to The X Factor UK

- The fight of the Century will finally be booked when Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao agree to battle it out

- Finland will win gold for ice hockey at the Winter Olympics

- Michelle Keegan will participate in I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here

- The WWE Network will get off to a patchy start with complaints of streaming issues during WrestleMania XXX. By SummerSlam, these issues will not be as prominent.

- Luis Suarez will leave Liverpool in the summer and head over to Real Madrid or PSG

- Danny Dyer's Eastenders run will come to an end

- WWE's reality show, Total Divas, will get cancelled

- Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker will main event WrestleMania XXX

- Cardiff City will be relegated from the Premier League
