This was meant to have been where I make a fictional punt on an outcome in the Thursday night NFL game.
I dropped the ball.
I started watching the triple header of Thanksgiving games and totally forgot about creating a post that was to publish at 12am in time for the New England Patriots' visit to the New York Jets.
With all that said, I did have an actual bet on the game.
Paddy Power bookmakers had a special on the three games from last night. They were going to refund match total bets if a touchdown was scored in the final two minutes of the game that was bet on.
I considered betting on all the games but decided to go with just one.
I am often cautious when I bet on match totals. If I think a game is going to go under, I choose to stay away from it. I'm unsure whether it's the square player in me but I always prefer betting on the over (maybe it's a subconscious need for attack rather for defence).
All three games from last night went for the over.
As I noted above, betting the over is a square bettor trend so I think Paddy Power will have to pay out on that. Fortunately for them, they only have to refund those who bet on the under in the Houston versus Detroit game as the other two games didn't see a touchdown in the final two minutes even though it came pretty close in both those games.
Had I remembered to make a prediction on here late last night, it would have been over 48.5 points/ I'm not counting it as a win for this blog. However, I'll happily call it a win for my pocket.
