I know for sure I didn't.
The gold medal winner from the 1996 Olympics had made similar boasts in recent years so I just scoffed at them. He seemed more adamant this year, though.
I found that the news stories about his Olympic quest to be nothing more than an insult to the real athletes who are trying to make their Olympic teams in the run-up to 2012.
Angle going on about how he could still compete at his age was disrespectful and a joke all at the same time.
The reason behind his pulling out of the trials (as reported to TMZ from Angle himself, by the way) is due to a pulled hamstring and hurt knee.
And guess who is wrestling on TNA's pay-per-view in a few hours?
Inside a steel cage, nonetheless.
Inside a steel cage, nonetheless.
I suppose there's always 2016.
Please, no.
