My favourite Cardiff City manager died a few days ago.
Eddie May was the manager of the Bluebirds in the early 1990s when I first started following football.
He was quite the legend amongst my friends and we were gutted when he was relieved of his duties.
I can recall the South Wales Echo even had photographs of him emptying his office which - even today - is something that you hardly ever see. Sure, you can see ousted managers leaving the training ground but when do you ever see pictures from inside the manager's office?
He made a brief return not so long afterwards.
My most favourite Cardiff City moment - with May at the helm - was their Welsh Cup victory. That was one of the best City teams in my thirty-two years.
There's only one way this post should end today and that's with a classic chant.
Eddie May's Barmy Army.
