American Football & Soccer Betting : Week 6

Week five was another profitable week. I had seven winners, two losers and one match deemed a void. My record now stands at 27-14-1 and the strike-rate is 65.8%.

1) Portsmouth vs Stoke to have over 2 goals
2) Everton vs Newcastle United to have over 2 goals
3) Lyon to win
4) Indianapolis -3
5) Arizona -1.5
6) New England -3
7) New Orleans -3
8) Chicago @ Detroit UNDER 45.5 points
9) Seattle @ NY Giants OVER 43.5 points
10) Denver -3

It seems that the idea to have ten selections on William Hill at 2p a line was a good one. If only I had at least one more winner!

Week 5 stats:
Stake = £20.26
Returns = £65.69
Profit/Loss = +45.43

Overall stats:
Stake = £82.01
Returns = £245.70
Profit/Loss = +163.69

I'll be unable to place this week's bet at that site this week, though. I cannot find many worthwhile bets in the soccer Internationals so I am going to add a few college football games to the bet. William Hill, in an email to me, said they don't intend to have more than one college game on their book this weekend.

I have had to go to Sky Bet this weekend after my first (or should that be second?) choice, Blue Square, wouldn't accept the bet I was attempting to put on. It seems they didn't want me to stake £51.55 on a mixture of college and NFL football games. I saw it as a sign not to bet too much and have shortened my final list to nine. Yes, I am superstitious in ways!

This week's selections are:

1) Vanderbilt (NCAA) -2.5
2) Boise State (NCAA) -10.5
3) Atlanta +2.5
4) Philadelphia -4.5
5) Dallas -5
6) Baltimore @ Indianapolis OVER 39.5
7) Carolina @ Tampa Bay OVER 36.5
8) Detroit +13.5
9) Slovenia to beat Northern Ireland

£25.55 multiples bet (511 bets at 5p a line)

Please note - three of these selections are playing tonight.
