When it was announced that the 2008 WrestleMania was to be held in Florida at the outdoor Citrus Bowl one of the first thoughts I had was how the WWE would handle the event with a possible threat of a tropical storm.
The reason why I thought this was because the 2007 Super Bowl was played in Florida rain and a lot of bigwigs at the NFL were upset that their biggest game of the year was exposed to the weather.
WrestleMania is to the WWE what the Super Bowl is to the NFL and I had a bad feeling that the wrestling show would be held in the rain.
The company has apparently made the ring safe from the threat of rain by having a cover over it. The fans in attendance won't be as lucky, though.
Latest weather reports have given Orlando a sixty percent chance of rain on March 30th. It's not looking good is it?
I have read a lot of views on what the event would be like in the rain, a number of people who are going said they want it to rain.
Yes, they want it to rain!
They really need to step back and see it from the bigger picture.
A lot of people have spent the last year or more saving up to attend the event and the majority of these people would be families. They should be able to walk away from WrestleMania with fond memories that will live with them for years to come. I just can't see everyone walking away happy if their evening were to be ruined by rain and possibly storms.
We still have six days to go, Let's hope that the forty percent chance wins out. Shame on the WWE for not taking their fans into account on this one.
