Tomorrow night could see a historic event take place in the NFL.
The New England Patriots are currently sitting on fifteen wins and no losses in the regular season. If they win in tomorrow's final game of the season they will become the first team to have a one hundred percent record in winning all sixteen games.
The one hundred percent record was accomplished by the Miami Dolphins in 1972 but the Patriots winning will better that feat as the season only consisted of fourteen games back in the early seventies.
In order to go 16-0 the Patriots will need to overcome the New York Giants. Their record for the season stands at 10-5. I can't see the Pats slipping up but I can also see the Giants being more motivated than ever in order to stop the history books from being rewritten.
The unstoppable force meeting the immovable object, if you will.
What ever happens tomorrow night I am sure of one thing - there will be a lot of players from the 1972 Miami Dolphins paying close attention to the final score.
