An email from BetFred brought a tear to my eye this evening.
The subject had '£200 better off with Betfred' on it so it caught my attention. I opened it up and then they told me how I could make £200 more at their booking office than I would elsewhere if I did an £11 accumulator on six specifice matches.
It sounded good so I read on.
And then laughed.
They named two teams in the said accumulator that I believe have no chance of winning this weekend so there is absolutely no point in placing this bet.
The teams in question are Bolton who face Liverpool and Portsmouth who I think will draw against Spurs.
The other teams are more or less bankers. They are Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Rangers.
To make this matter even more humourous I replied to the email telling them that it had lightened up my week and whether they really think I would waste my money backing the two teams in question.
I don't anticipate a response from them. The results will do the talking.
