No Angle

I just found out that Kurt Angle has been released from his contract with the WWE and I think it is the best solution to the life of Kurt Angle.

Angle was recently given time off for a month to recharge his batteries after years of injuries were taking a toll on his body.

The introduction of the Wellness Policy following the passing of Eddie Guerrero meant that the testing of wrestlers was mandatory and I believe that the recent time off given to the Olympic champion was more than just to rest up his body.

A few months ago I heard that the WWE were worried about one specific employee who was on a 'death watch'. This means that the company were worried about their addictions aware that if something did happen to this person that it would be a major story, far bigger than the death of Eddie Guerrero.

My assumption at the time of hearing about the unamed wrestler was that it was Kurt Angle. As a winner of a gold medal at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996 he would be a mainstream name if he were to be the next victim of the professional wrestling lifestyle.

Angle has constantly bragged about winning the gold medal with a 'broken freaking neck' and that is the truth. His push for success meets no limits - but it comes with a price. His life.

It is the WWE's ultimate responsibility to help Kurt Angle and if it means terminating his contract then they did what's right for the welfare of one of the most talented performers to make it in the company.

He will be missed but he will also be saved.
