Oh No, MOBO

It was funny reading all the criticism that has been placed on the live coverage of the MOBO Awards.

The ceremony to recognise 'Music of Black Origin' was in its 19th year and aired on ITV2. I switched it on, noticed lip-synching immediately and turned it over as soon as I could.

It could have been a hell of a lot worse, too.

I was asked to review the show for a survey. I was offered the equivalent of £1 to sit there and write about my experience as a viewer watching the event for the first seventy minutes and didn't bother agreeing.

There wouldn't have been a problem if I was doing something I knew I would enjoy. The reaction to the event has more or less reassured my trepidation.

I would have hated it.
