I would have preferred Argentina to win last night's final, but it wasn't to be.
I had to raise an eyebrow at the decision to give Lionel Messi the Golden Ball award for being the best player of the tournament. Such a baffling choice. He has not been the Lionel Messi we have seen in club football. No way was he the best player in the entire tournament.
