Rock Out

In the early hours of Monday, I wrote that I doubt we'll ever see The Rock as WWE champion again.

It could go further than that.

Dwayne Johnson was meant to have been featured on WWE Raw on Monday night but had to go home following his match against John Cena at WrestleManoa. The reason behind his leave of absence was - as explained by Johnson on Twitter - due to a torn 'abdomen & adductor muscles off the bone'.

There was speculation that he was going to be involved in an angle with Brock Lesnar to set up their match at WrestleMania XXX so his absence put paid to that idea for the time being.

I personally cannot see the match ever taking place now.

Wrestling is a side job for Dwayne Johnson. He doesn't need to do it.

Is it worth all that hassle of disrupting filming schedules in a job where he demands a high eight figure number after suffering an injury in a part-time profession where he's earning a low-end seven figures?

Add in the fact that John Cena is a safer worker than Brock Lesnar.

I know where my priorities would lay.
