Breaking A Vow

Remember a few weeks ago, when I stated that Channel 5's coverage of the NFL - for its 6pm Sunday games - was not for me and that I wasn't going to watch it?

Well, this Sunday, I could very well go back on my vow.

There's a good reason why.

The Indianapolis Colts versus Pittsburgh Steelers game is on.

To be fair, the fixture is also on Sky Sports' coverage of the first batch of games. However, I don't have Sky Sports in high definition. Therefore, I have a choice: watch the game in standard definition or watch it on Channel 5 in HD.

The latter means having to tolerate the inane studio games played during breaks and timeouts -  something I couldn't summon the will to do again after week one.

Colts on Channel 5 HD This Weekend

I suppose I have to go for it because it's rare that I get to see the Colts play in HD (other than when they're focused on during RedZone which I do watch in that format each week).

It'll be the first time I get to watch the Colts live on Channel 5 since the mid-2000s, so it'll be somewhat fun to get to do that again. And at a more satisfying time.

The Colts will also be on Channel 5 a week from Sunday when their International Series game against the Atlanta Falcons takes place from Berlin.

I have enjoyed the channel's coverage of the International Series contests, so I'm doubly looking forward to that one.
