I ended yesterday's post stating something that didn't reach fruition in the long run.
I had written about watching a big play in the World Series of Poker's Main Event. It saw one guy go all-in with an Ace and a King and was called by the then chip leader, who was holding a pair of Kings in his hole cards.
Well - it ended up with the AK guy scoring an Ace on the river card thus saving him from elimination and building his stack.
That 'AK Guy', as I called him in the previous paragraph, is your new WSOP Main Event Champion. He ended up winning the entire thing last night.
His name: Michael Mizrachi. His prize: $10,000,000.
Very nice.
Back to yesterday - I had closed the post by airing my intent to watch the rest of the tourney. Unfortunately, the YouTube channel I had streamed the action from the previous night had made the content members only for the closing night.
Shame. But, I get it.
