Riding The Train Until Notre Dame Reaches A Stop

The Christmas decorations are coming down today.

Well, all but one.

As usual, I placed the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Christmas train on the table in front of the TV in my bedroom. It has owned this place during the festive period for well over ten years now. This year, it'll be staying in that spot a little longer.

That's because I've decided to keep the train up for as long as Notre Dame remains in the college football playoffs.

The team is currently in the final four of the tourney. They're set to play Penn State in a semi-final on Thursday night. As of right now, they're two-point favourites to make it to the final.

On the other side of the bracket are Ohio State and Texas. The latter is a team I've been following during 2024/25 because that is where Arch Manning (nephew of Eli and Peyton and son of Cooper) plays. He's the backup to quarterback - Quinn Ewers.

I hope both Notre Dame and Texas make it to the final, which will be played in a fortnight from today.
