Reigns' Reign

This time next week, I'm sure to have a WrestleMania hangover. Two late nights in a row is enough to give me a stinking headache nowadays.

Also this week, I'm sure I'll be mourning the end of what has been one of the longest reigns in professional wrestling. Especially modern pro wrestling.

I am, of course, referring to Roman Reigns - the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. He'll face Cody Rhodes in the main event of night two in what is a rematch from the headline bout from last year's Mania.

This title run began in 2020 and has been a joy to watch. Not just the matches. Everything. The business has thrived with the Bloodline story.

Four year plus reigns, for the number one strap in WWE, are like comets. It will be a very long time before we next see another.

If ever.
