I had never made a paella before, so - when I was shopping the other day - I ordered enough ingredients to make one of my own inside my Ninja Speedi.
As I dislike prawns, that was one thing NOT on my list. I had mostly everything else: onions, chorizo, chicken, tomatoes, yellow and green peppers as well as the obvious part of the recipe - rice.
So - that was yesterday's family meal. It took me a little over two hours to make because I opted to use the slow cooker function on the machine.
I showed the picture of my plate to my friend. Later that evening, she asked if I had made the paella yesterday to coincide with it being National Paella Day.
I had no clue whatsoever. How mad is that coincidence?!
