It was brought to my attention, through an email from Nestle this morning, that today is National Cereal Day.
The reminder allows me to repeat something I wrote on this day last year. I still regard Aldi's Coco Peanut Butter Balls as my current favourite cereal.
With that said, it has been a few months since I last had a bowl of that cereal.
My current go to is Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes. Kind of.
That's because - for the past few weeks, I've been drinking smoothies for breakfast. The smoothie I have liked the best has the following ingredients.
- Almond milk
- Banana
- A dash of maple syrup
- 2 Dates
- One teaspoon of crunchy peanut butter
- A handful of Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes
It tastes very nice. As soon as I was reminded that today is National Cereal Day, I had to make the smoothie just so I could write about it.
And take a photo:
Today is also World Book Day.
I obviously won't be dressing up for it. However, I should have put on one of my Stephen King t-shirts. Instead, I happen to be wearing a Ric Flair shirt this morning.
With that said, I'm accidentally - technically? - celebrating World Book Day because Flair's autobiography - To Be The Man - celebrates its twentieth anniversary in July.
