A Rant About A New Krave

I ate the most pointless breakfast cereal earlier this week.

Kellogg's Krave is a cereal I enjoy having now and again. I always find myself checking out its different variations whenever I see them.

Last Friday, when doing an Iceland food shop, I saw there was a new Krave cereal available. I immediately added it to my basket and then - later that day - it arrived with my order.

This one is called Krave Choco Rocks and - on its box - you'll see a chocolate Krave pillow (filled with chocolate) as well as chocolate rocks.

To kick off the start of a new week, I opened up the box and made a bowl of the new cereal.

Considering it's Kellogg's Krave, I expected the chocolate rocks to have a chocolatey inside just like the chocolate or hazelnut fillings you'd associate with other products in the Krave line.

Nope.

The rocks are regular chocolate rocks you'd find in other kinds of cereal.

That's not what I expect from the Kellogg's Krave name.

With that said, they get away with putting the Krave branding on the box by adding some of the chocolate Krave pillows to the box. As you'll see, in the picture below, the pillows to rocks ratio is off balance.

The more I thought about it, the more I've realised how cheated I have been by Kellogg's. The company could have called this cereal anything else, but chose to use the established Krave name.

It doesn't feel like Krave. They should have put the Coco Pops monkey on the box. It would have made more sense and I would have felt less cheated.
