My spreadsheet is guaranteed to have a subpar season when it comes to picking the point-spread and totals in NFL games played on Thursday night.
I ended last week's post needing perfect results in the final two weeks of TNF. It went 1-1 for the Jacksonville Jaguars' win over the New York Jets while stumbling on the Over in the Jags' 19-3 win.
The result from last week kept the win-loss at fifty percent. Fifty-five percent or above has always been my goal.
Added to the expected low percentage for 2023 is the fact that, for tonight's game, the spreadsheet has only ONE play.
It predicts the Dallas Cowboys will beat the Tennessee Titans by twelve points. As of the time of writing, the bookmakers' line sees the Cowboys as twelve-point faves.
All focus now moves to the Over/Under. The sheet predicts the fixture will have a total of forty-two points. This is slightly above the line of 39.5.
Recommended Play
Over 39.5
I have taken a look in my database, with NFL scores dating back to 2001, to see how the Over/Under had performed in the meeting between the Cowboys and Titans. Here's what I've found.
- The Over is 3-2 in all five of the meetings that have been played between 2001 and 2021
- The Over is 1-1 when the game has played in Tennessee
