With a bet on Mac Jones being the third pick, I woke up early this morning to see the first few selections that I recorded on my cable box.
Unsurprisingly, the Jacksonville Jaguars went with Trevor Lawrence followed by Zach Wilson going to the New York Jets.
It was then time for my bet to sink or swim.
And it drowned.
The San Francisco 49ers went with Trey Lance as their new quarterback.
Jones was picked later in the first round. The New England Patriots chose him with the fifteenth overall selection.
As a result of Jones becoming a Patriot, I no longer have any interest in his career.
I joke. I wish him well.
