Remembering The 5th Of November

Last night, I did what I usually do on Guy Fawkes Night - I stood in my back garden for a few minutes to see the fireworks going off.

And that was me done for another year.

One of my earliest childhood memories is standing in that garden with my father as we watched neighbouring homes setting off their fireworks. I vividly recall thinking that they were space rockets firing off.

It has become a tradition to go out there and spend a bit of time watching them. Don't get me wrong, I haven't done it EVERY year because I've been displays and house parties, but - for the majority - my November 5ths have been spent doing that.
