Tupac Shakur was one of the names announced for the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yesterday.
I couldn't believe it when I found out. It's a huge deal.
This was the first year the rapper, who was murdered in 1996, was eligible. To be voted in, the artist or artists must have had their first album or single released twenty-five years previously.
2Pac will be one of the first inductees to have started their musical careers in the 1990s. The other is Pearl Jam.
Along with Shakur and Pearl Jam in the Class of 2017 are: Joan Baez, Electic Light Orchestra, Yes and Journey.
