Goldberg's Return

Bill Goldberg made his return to WWE on Monday night.

And it was great.

If you read last Wednesday's post, you're aware that I wasn't that much of a fan of his back when he was on WCW and then later in WWE. I was intrigued to see how WWE handled his return, though.

Well, I saw how the company did it on Monday and my thumbs are up.

Both of them.

Goldberg came out and, for a brief moment, you could see he became emotional. He was given a great response from the fans in attendance.

The end of show promo ended with the former WCW and WWE World Champion saying that he was coming back to face Brock Lesnar in what he revealed will be his last match.

He then walked around the ringside area hugging children. This was so cool. He had noted shortly beforehand that one of the things he missed about being in wrestling was being a superhero to kids and it showed as he made his exit.

His wife and son, who had never witnessed him in this environment were also in attendance. Part of the reason behind his return was for them to see him wrestle.

All-in-all it was excellently done. Next week will see Brock Lesnar's response. That will be followed by another Goldberg return on October 31st.

They're keeping the pair apart until the Raw before the Survivor Series.

It's going to be fun. Well, I hope it will be!
