I can't help but feel sorry for Daniel Bryan.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has announced that he'll be retiring and tonight's episode of WWE Raw - which starts in an hour from the time this gets published - will feature him going into detail about his in-ring career coming to an end.
He suffered a concussion in the spring of 2015 and hasn't been cleared to wrestle ever since that time. This sort of injury is a hot topic in all sports at this time, so it goes without saying that the people in WWE have Bryan's welfare to take into consideration.
Even though I am gutted for him, retirement is evidently the best thing for him. His life is more important than wins in a pro wrestling ring.
Hopefully, he'll find something to do within wrestling to keep him a part of the business.
I just hope he doesn't decide to return to the ring outside of WWE when his contract with the company is done.
