The latest television marathon I have embarked on is True Detective.
I'm currently in the midst of episode four (as I type this) and it's not too bad. I'm not really into detective series' that much, so gave it a one episode trial to see if I liked it.
Once I finished the first part, I thought 'okay, I've invested an hour into this. There's only seven installments left.'
For those that don't know - it stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as mis-matched detectives on the case of a satanic murderer.
The story flashes back to the pair working together in 1995 (I think!) and then the modern-day stuff is the pair being interviewed by current detective teams working on a similar case.
I'm not sure where it's going, to be fair. I get the feeling McConaughey's character is somehow involved, but this is probably me over-thinking things.
I think the new series begins on Sky Atlantic tonight, so the current plan is to finish off the first season by the middle of this week and then catch up and continue watching with each new episode.
