Luck / Manning III

I knew it was going to happen sooner or later.

Peyton Manning, and his Denver Broncos, were one day going to end up taking on his former team - the Indianapolis Colts - in the playoffs.

And it happens tonight.

The former Colts quarterback has played the team twice since leaving a number of years ago. He lost the first, but won the most recent game.

This time, however, there's more at stake.

Playoff survival.

Manning's successor - Andrew Luck - has been incredible since he came into the league. I have high hopes that he'll eventually raise the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

I'm not counting the Colts out of tonight's game. With that said, I'm not going to disregard the strong chance that Denver will win.

And then there's a thought running through my head that - if Manning loses tonight, this will end up being his final game.

Wouldn't losing to Indianapolis in his final game be fitting?

It's obviously not as fitting as winning the big one in February.

I really want Peyton Manning to win another Super Bowl. I also want to see the Colts move forward with Luck at the helm, so this really is another game where I'm going to remain on the proverbial fence and hope the better team wins.

If you're a Broncos or Colts fan - enjoy!
