The Cruelest Task

I have now seen the cruelest thing to have ever taken place on I'm a Celebrity.

And it didn't involve insects, animals or gross food.

On Tuesday night's episode, Charlie Brooks and Eric Bristow were taking part in a game where there was a row of doors. Behind each door was a surprise and the contestants had to select a door to be opened. If they liked what was behind it, they could keep whatever it was. They had a chance to gamble it away and go with another door. However, there was a 'Game Over' surprise that would have ended the task.

Behind one of the said doors was Brooks' seven-year old daughter and Bristow's son. The pair waited to see if their respective parent would choose the door and alas that didn't happen.

The look on the daughter's face when the game ended made me quite sorry for her. It was wrong of them to put her in that position.

She hasn't seen her mother for nearly three weeks and to be that close to her and pull the hope away like that was despicable on behalf of the producers.

It's not the first time this series that it seems even more apparent that people's emotions have been tried. Putting a seven-year old in a position like that purely for the television audience was dreadful.

Hopefully, there will be a lot of complaints aired over this.
