Back To St. James'

It's official - Newcastle United play at St. James' Park.

Club owner, Mike Ashley, famously changed the name of St. James' Park to the Sports Direct Arena a short while ago.

The ground name change was done as a way to attract new sponsors. The hope was to entice a new investor that would jump at the chance of branding the stadium.

Enter Wonga.com.

The loans company have made a four-year investment with Newcastle United. Their first order of business was to revert the Sports Direct Arena name back to St. James' Park.

I guess the Wonga Stadium didn't have that much of a ring to it.
