I had planned on writing about the final edition of WWE Raw leading in to WrestleMania XXVIII but have decided to put it on hold after seeing that Paddy Power are taking bets on the event.
If you may recall, I had placed a bet with William Hill on The Undertaker to beat Triple H at last year's show. I had also made some bets with an American known betting firm. The Undertaker bet went well, the American firm ripped me off. Therefore, I vowed never to bet on professional wrestling unless it was with a bookmaker I was comfortable with.
The odds aren't as appealing this year.
At the time of writing, The Undertaker is 1/10 to beat Triple H (6/1) in the rematch from last year. I am 99.99999% sure that Taker will win that match. I don't like the odds, though. I'll probably pass.
Sheamus is priced at 1/3 to win the World championship from Daniel Bryan (2/1). As above, the price isn't good but it's a result I am confident in.
The Rock versus John Cena is also up. The Rock is currently listed at 11/10 while his foe is priced at 4/6. I genuinely have no idea how this match will end up so - once again - am reluctant to bet.
Other matches and odds are:
CM Punk (2/5) .vs. Chris Jericho (7/4)
Big Show (4/7) .vs. Cody Rhodes (5/4)
Randy Orton (2/7) .vs. Kane (9/4)
My 'Bold Predictions' WrestleMania edition will be published near the end of the week.
