I watched The Fighter last night and thought whoever selected the cast did a fantastic job.
Christian Bale was spot on with all the mannerisms of Dicky Eklund.
He was awesome in that role. It's certainly one of the best performances I have seen of any actor who is playing a real-life person.
I was also impressed with the person who made a brief appearance as Micky Vann.
Vann - one of the most well known British boxing referees - was the ref in the fight when Micky Ward won the WBU title. As I was watching the final fight, I was thinking 'is that really Micky Vann?' I had to check on IMDB.com to find out for sure.
