It seems I was right to preface yesterday's post by pointing out that things weren't certain when it came to Alan Shearer becoming the new manager of Cardiff City.
Alan Shearer has now ruled himself out of the running for the job.
I have an unfounded feeling that there was a lot more to him popping up out of nowhere to be in the position to take over from Dave Jones.
We'll never know what went down exactly but I wouldn't be surprised if it will see Shearer being linked to a lot of other vacant jobs in the near future.
