-17

I was given a 'five star' tip yesterday to bet on Texas Christian University to win against Southern Methodist in NCAA college football.

TCU were minus seventeen points on the handicap so I placed an £11 bet on them.

Later in the evening, I had another look at the line and they were at -17.5 which indicates that a lot of people had bet on them at minus seventeen and the odds makers had increased the handicap to a new level.

I went to bed, woke up and the first thing I did was check the score.

TCU won 41-24.

Seventeen points.

It's incredible how the line makers always have it perfectly.

I'm thankful that I got the stake back and even more glad that I didn't take the team with the extra half a point on the handicap.
