Last night's nine hundredth episode of Monday Night Raw gave WWE another chance to roll out their hyperbolic announcement that the series is the 'longest running episodic show in the history of television'.
It wasn't just the one time they made this inaccurate boast. We were reminded throughout the entire show.
Seriously now.
Raw has been going for seventeen years and nine hundred episodes. I don't know much about American TV but I'd wager that there are tons of soap operas out there that have beaten that number.
I guess it's a case of them saying it enough times that they will make themselves believe it and then hopefully turn a few fans into their way of thinking.
They can say it as many times to me - my eyes will continue to roll and I still won't agree.
